Nestled within South Peak Resort on New Hampshire's Loon Mountain, the Colleran Residence is a quintessential ski getaway. Engaged in this project, I focused on drawing construction details of the staircase, fireplace, and ski room.
A standout feature of the staircase design is the incorporation of a special shiplap wall, infusing the space with a modern rustic charm. This unique touch not only serves as a visual focal point but also adds depth and texture to the interior. Similarly, the fireplace features a shiplap wall, differentiating it from the remainder of the living room. The drawings I've created serve a dual purpose, contributing to the documentation of construction details, as well as facilitating the client's visualization.
In addition to these elements, my creative input extended to the design and detailing of custom-built ins for the ski mudroom—an indispensable feature for any mountain retreat. Drawing upon a mix of practicality and aesthetics, I conceived a layout that integrated ski lockers for organized equipment storage, complemented by a wooden bench boasting quick-access shoe storage underneath. Above the bench, coat hooks provide a convenient spot for hanging outerwear, ensuring that every aspect of the mudroom holds efficiency and style.
