The Ryan Residence, a beach home located on Cape Cod, has uniquely designed ceilings, embracing the character of the existing conditions. I was tasked with drawing reflected ceiling plans and 3D views, used as references for construction. Ceiling fans are implemented into each room, tangentially to the ceiling design.

In addition to the reflected ceiling plans, I designed built-ins for the Mudroom and Great Room. The mudroom built-in features a shiplap feature wall with a wood bench, utilizing the space underneath the seat for quick shoe storage. A small, long shelf and coat hooks above allow storage and quick access for frequently used items.
The clients required additional storage in the Great Room, where the selected custom cabinets are built by Longfellow Design Build. Two options provide adequate storage possibilities, depending on the types of items the clients intend to store. A glass door cabinet protects from dust and may be used for more delicate, infrequently touched items. A second option featuring drawers and open shelves provides practicality and convenient accessibility.
